Reminders
Continue using your designated CLT time to reflect, plan and document the great work you are doing. An additional form has been uploaded into the Google folder as a driver for you team's work. The 'Unit Design' template was adopted by elementary teachers this summer, as can also act as a driver of your conversations. This form answers the 4 critical questions necessary to be productive as a PLC as well as serves our documentation purposes. As Dave and I continue to visit CLT's, please ask for necessary support or questions that have come up.

Quote of the Week:

"If you'll not settle for anything less than your best, you will be amazed at what you can accomplish in your lives".  ~Vince Lombardi

Off-site Weekly Meetings:

Willie:  None at this time
Dave: None at this time

Reminders:

Lesson Plans should be copied and moved into the 2015-16 Lesson Plans Google folder.

CLT discussions are expected to begin this week using the form provided to you at our Back-to-School Days titled 'Collaborative Learning Focus Conversations'. If you have not submitted the time(s) and day(s) of each week you will be meeting to Dave and I, please do so.

Student Service and Tier 2 Updates:

  • One elementary student is on CICO and has made his goal for the first 4 days of school.  Whoo hoo!
  • For your convenience, information has been added to the Student Services tab on the Staff's Raptor Roar link. We will be adding to our tab and hope you find this information helpful.
  • We have a stack of M-14s located on the bookshelf, which is located inside student services. If you find yourself speaking with someone that does not have legal custody, use your professional judgment as to the information that is given at that time. Politely mention that the M14 will need to be signed and returned in order to have further conversations.  Reiterate to the (step)parent, grandparent, etc, that our goal is to develop positive relationships with all stakeholders for the student.
Celebrations:

What a great first day, and week! Thank you all for contributing. Go TEAM Red Smith!
